*Remember me*

Even if I lay here
in this horiffic land
Not able to walk
cannot attack or defend
and keep suffering from
the agonizing wound

Even if I lay helpless
as the corpse beside me
fighting the darkness
that surrounded me
you shall never forget
but always remember me.

Remember.....
I am the boy next door
who helped mow your loan
I am the man you married
and said "you are the one"
the student who worked hard
like everybody else
the mentor that helped you
with all your problems.

Even if I lay here
facing my worst fear
get up and leave the trench
following my order
to get to the wounded
in the middle of a war.

Remember....
I'm your only brother
you depended up on
your only child
the one you called my son
your shoulder when you cry
your friend, your best man.

If enemy catches up
and I have to surrender
face the humiliation
and extreme torture
then finally lose my life
in a cruel death chamber,
you shall still remember.

I am the protector
of your name and your pride
willing to risk my life
to help others world wide
believing in my heart
that you my sister, my father
my friend, my neighbor
would always be proud and remember
that I am part of your life
one way or the other
may be as a person
or just as your soldier.
